Potentia Manufacturing Group said it acquired New England Foundry, formerly the Anbar division of Edson International.

The Taunton, Mass., foundry specializes in the sand-casting of aluminum, brass and bronze for the marine, aerospace and industrial sectors, “with the number one focus continuing to be on the marine market,” Potentia said in a statement.

David N. Slutz, managing director of Potentia, said the addition of New England Foundry will provide synergistic opportunities for customers of the foundry and other Potentia companies, which mostly produce metal and plastic components.

Other Potentia companies include Franklin Sheet Metal, ITAL-TECH Machined Products, Jet Machined Products, MacDiarmid Precision Machining and Trilap Precision Finishing.

The former Edson International facility, which specializes in sand-casting, will continue to focus on the marine market.

The parent of Bennington, Godfrey and Hurricane pointed to “healthy” demand and easing supply-chain issues in its quarterly report.

The group said more than 75 percent of member companies are in attendance for networking opportunities, meetings, awards and more.

This year’s show will include preshow sessions, nine educational tracks and 13 free Tech Talk workshops.

Chase Nielsen will be based at the group’s renovated headquarters in Stuart, Fla., which now has upgraded customer-service facilities.

Parent Brunswick Corp. said the solar array will provide 10 percent of the energy needs at Mercury’s Fond du Lac campus.

The agency said it will be the trim-tab manufacturer’s representative in the South and Midwest.
