GYNAECOLOGIST and mum-of-three, Annie, aka ‘anniedeliversmd’ has taken to TikTok to reveal the things she wishes all women knew.

With 86k followers on TikTok, Annie regularly posts videos of her responding to typical questions and queries that she gets from patients.

If you are the kind of person that wears panty liners everyday…well, it’s bad news for you because according to Annie, they can give you contact dermatitis.

Annie revealed that people will often come to her and say that they have vaginal irritation but often it doesn’t look like people have a vaginal infection after all.

Instead, Annie can see that many women have a defined line around the vulva, which is caused by wearing panty liners everyday.

Wearing panty liners daily causes irritation and can lead to contact dermatitis from the liners on your vulva all the time.

If you wear panty liners everyday, Annie said: “I’d recommend carrying a ziploc bag with you in your purse.

“When you feel discharge, change your underwear.

“But don’t wear liners. Your vulvar skin does not like them.”

Annie’s video has quickly racked up a whopping 10.9million views, with many shocked at her advice.

It has 460.9k likes, 5,040 comments and 7,146 shares.

There were many TikTok users that were shocked that some women wear panty liners every day - and they took to the comments to express this.

One person said: “Shocked at the amount of women wearing liners everyday!!! That’s insane. Just wipe it out with toilet paper when it happens.”

Another added: “Why would you wear liners everyday? Discharge is normal and healthy?”

A third commented: “I had no idea people used liners everyday. That’s sad.”

However, there were also many TikTok users that revealed that they do in fact wear panty liners every day.

One person said: “Yeah I can't go without a liner.”

Another added: “I could never not wear one…”

A third added: “I can't get rid of them…….. I really hate the discharge.”

Another revelation of Annie’s is about the smell of vaginas.

Annie revealed that she often gets women coming to her, complaining that their vagina smells.

She explained: “Yes vaginas have a smell.”

If you find your vagina smells musty, Annie advised: “Ok well yes then it’s normal. Vaginas have a smell.”

If you want to know how to get rid of this smell, don’t be tempted to use vaginal perfumed soaps.

Annie added: “They’re bad for your vagina. And the smell is normal. It’s really normal. Vaginas have a smell.”

But one TikTok user asked Annie “Is fishy smell caused by something different than musty smell?” to which she responded “Yes fishy is typically due to bacterial vaginosis.”

A final revelation of Annie’s and something she wished that people know involves giving birth.

For those that have given birth before, you will know that the pain really is insane.

Annie explained that many pregnant women say to her in labour: “Omg get this baby out! This is the most intense feeling ever” to which she responds: “You’re crowning now. What you’re feeling is the baby’s head stretching you.”

And then as if by magic, just a few minutes later, a healthy baby is delivered.

Many TikTok users were very impressed with Annie’s knowledge and advice.

One person commented: “The way TikTok has genuinely taught me so much. this makes so much sense, thanks for sharing!”

Another added: “I love your page.”
