FLSmidth has received an order from Hindustan Zinc Industry Co., Ltd. (HZL) to design and supply the main process equipment in the entire process for a lead-zinc beneficiation plant. FLSmidth will provide all the key process equipment for the new modern concentrator, which will replace the previous facilities. The equipment includes baseball mills, flotation tanks, thickeners, hydrocyclones, pumps, Pneumapress filters, mud samplers, process control valves/instruments, and marking electronics.
Digital and automation solutions such as online slurry analyzers, advanced process control and automation, and PlantVision™ tools will be provided as part of the software package. PlantVision is a real-time image analysis solution that provides critical measurements for the properties of ore on a conveyor belt or foam in a flotation cell. The plant performance is supported by bench tests conducted by the FLSmidth Minerals Testing and Research Center in Salt Lake City.
